This activity makes reading and understanding fun and the competitive element will engage students. You will get: • 10 cards with a short passage to read and a question that relates to another card so students must understand and remember what they have read • Answer record sheet for each player or team - use the answers to find letters to unscramble and find the mystery location and crack the 4-digit code As well as: • a short introduction to set the scene • answers for you to assess instantly if they are correct or not • seaside themed winners’ certificates • directions • The themes of the readings are all related to the seaside so ideal for summer • Prep is easy and quick – print & cut the cards into 2 and distribute these around the classroom or table and you are ready for a fun and engaging lesson.
